Message from AIRDC President

Following our successful Conference in Bahrain in 2016, I am sure that all our AIRDC members are now eagerly awaiting the next gathering this September 2018 in Nepal.

The Organizing Committee has put together a rich Conference agenda covering the theme “Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance” which is most pertinent in Nepal, a country ridden by earthquakes for many centuries.

On behalf of the AIRDC Board of Trustees, I join the Organizing Committee to sincerely invite you to participate in our biennial Conference which will undoubtedly provide an excellent platform to discuss this important theme that is a hallmark in our insurance and reinsurance industry.

It was in 2000 that this Conference was last in Nepal, so we are all naturally excited and proud to come back again and witness the many changes that have taken place in this beautiful former Kingdom on the foothills of the Himalayas. This is indeed a country rich in history, culture, landmarks and activities. So, do vacate some time from your busy schedules to experience the sights and tourist attractions.

I look forward to being with you at the 21st AIRDC Conference in Kathmandu.
